Weekly Drop: Wonder Goblin x Skinner Fungoid, VAG Mermaids, and a Big Wall of Fresh Sofubi
Big week. One of the deepest drops we have had in a while, so grab a coffee. Vintage Bullmark and Marusan legends landed right next to fresh artist sofubi from Wonder Goblin, Skinner, Max Toy and Izumonster. Clear vinyl, glow, guts inserts, marbled paint, the works. Here is what is worth a long look this week, and a short list of what already walked out the door.

Wonder Goblin x Skinner Tokyo Fungoid
Yellow vinyl with green, orange and more paint, done up in a Tokyo inspired app. Very cool in hand. The Fungoid is the Skinner and Wonder Goblin collab that has been running since DesignerCon 2016, and it took Best Soft Vinyl at the 2019 Designer Toy Awards. Sculpted and painted by Wonder Goblin (James Sizemore), made in Japan. This one is signed by Mr Wonder Goblin on the bottom of the foot and numbered 5 of 13. Loose, no packaging, like new.

Max Toy Co Clear Purple Eyezon V2
Clear yellowish vinyl with purple and more paint, and a guts insert floating around inside. This is one of the earlier Eyezon releases from Mark Nagata, the one eyed mutant potato that put Max Toy Co on the map. Great sofubi. Loose, no packaging, like new.

Bullmark x Iwakura Metallic Blue Gorosaurus
Metallicy blue vinyl with a bit of dark red and more paint. Classic sofubi, and priced right. Iwakura did these downscaled Bullmark reproductions back in the mid 2000s, so you get that OG kaiju sculpt at about 3.5 inches. New in bag with header. If you like it, the Bullmark x Iwakura Rodan flew in the same week.

VAG x Izumonster Nanamari Mermaid, Five Colorways
VAG is Medicom’s Vinyl Artist Gacha, capsule sized sofubi from indie artists, the kind that used to come blind out of the machine. Izumonster’s Nanamari Mermaid is a fun little sculpt and the colorways here run all over the map. Black and gold, clear and orange, red and teal, and a camo. Exactly as shown, loose, like new condition, $28 each. Grab a couple. The Glow x Purple already sold out, figures.
Marusan x Figure King Space Beast Goad
Grey vinyl with blue, red, white and more paint. Huge piece of vinyl, very cool in hand. This was a Figure King magazine exclusive, so it is not one you trip over. Marusan is the OG, the studio that put out the first Godzilla sofubi way back, so a modern Marusan exclusive at this size is a treat. Loose, no packaging, like new.

Frank Mysterio Clear Bat Kamazotl
Clear unpainted vinyl packed with plastic spiders, jacks and odds and ends, so it reads darn awfully colorful in hand. Nice. Kamazotl leans on the Mayan bat god, and Frank Mysterio’s Mexican sofubi always brings that folk horror bite. Honest note, it sets a touch crooked from the way the waist joint was cut. Loose, no bag or header, like new.

Gumtaro’s Tagora in three ways. The Blue is blue vinyl with greens and more paint, awesome in hand. The Red and the Brown round it out. All three new in bag with header, $56 each.
Wonder Goblin Glowing Skeletor Goblin
Glow in the dark vinyl with purple and black paint, and a great Skeletor face. Very nice in hand. Wonder Goblin ran deep this week, so if the Fungoid up top is out of range, the Purple x Pink Goblin, the Maneki Dumpling and the Red Eye Hag Defender all landed too. Loose, no packaging, like new.
