Big couple of weeks in the sofubi world. Toho put a date on the next Godzilla movie, Superfest is three weeks out, and the fall show calendar is stacked all the way to Vegas. Superfest 95 Hits Kudanshita September 27
Superfestival 95 runs Sunday, September 27 at the Science Museum in Kudanshita, Tokyo. One day, one room, and some of the best indie sofubi on the planet changing hands before lunch. If you have friends in Tokyo, now is the time to be nice to them.
The show is famous for one offs and micro run customs, which is exactly what this hero is. MVH and Splurrt vinyl, custom painted by Dark Matter Toys. Red vinyl with blue, silver and more paint. Godzilla Minus Zero Lands November 3
The big one. Toho has dated Godzilla Minus Zero, the follow up to Godzilla Minus One, for November 3 in Japan with North American theaters getting it just three days later on November 6. Takashi Yamazaki is back writing and directing. November 3 is no accident either, that is the same calendar date the original Godzilla hit theaters in 1954. Minus One took home the Oscar for visual effects, so expectations are sky high.
Nothing gets kaiju vinyl moving like a new Godzilla film. The Toho corner of the shop is stocked right now.

NYCC Is a Month Out
New York Comic Con runs October 8 to 11 at the Javits Center. The show floor gets bigger for designer vinyl every year, and the good stuff at the indie booths goes fast on preview night. If you are making the trip, bring cash and comfortable shoes.

DesignerCon Vegas: November 13 to 15
DesignerCon hits The Expo at World Market Center in Las Vegas November 13 to 15, and the next Pasadena edition is already dated for May 29 and 30, 2027. DCon is the biggest designer toy weekend in America, full stop. The kind of show where a lucky bag pull becomes a grail.

Winter Watch: Tokyo Comic Con and WonFes
Two more for the calendar. Tokyo Comic Con celebrates its 10th anniversary December 11 to 13 at Makuhari Messe. And the one every sofubi collector circles first: Wonder Festival 2027 Winter runs February 13 and 14 at Makuhari Messe, the first two day winter WonFes in 36 years. Double the days means double the one day wonders, so start saving now.
