Weekly Drop: A Rampage x MVH Tokyo Custom, Vintage Ultra Invaders, and the Marusan Gacha Wall
Big week in the shop. A one of a kind Rampage Toys x MVH custom leads things off, the vintage shelf picked up two Ultra invaders, and Marusan dropped a whole wall of gacha sized Godzilla, Rodan and friends. Plenty under $60 too. Let’s get into it.
Hero of the Week
Rampage Toys x MVH Custom Tokyo Alien Hunter
Yellow vinyl painted up in traditional Tokyo style sofubi paint. OUTSTANDING in hand. Signed on the bottom of the foot with 1/1.
This one is a meeting of two names that go way back. Rampage Toys is Jon Malmstedt, a sculptor and painter working out of his studio in central Tokyo, making resin since 2008 and his own sofubi since 2010. MVH is Mutant Vinyl Hardcore, Rich Montanari’s horror vinyl operation out of New Haven, Connecticut. Jon’s paint has landed on MVH classics like Sludge Demon and Ollie over the years. These two have history. Loose, no packaging, like new condition.

Fresh from Japan
Enka Vinyl Green Anime Version Hedorah
Green vinyl with metallic blue, red and more paint. Classic. Hedorah is the Smog Monster from Toho’s 1971 Godzilla vs. Hedorah, still the strangest entry in the whole franchise, and Enka’s anime style colorway leans right into it. Awesome sofubi. New in bag with header.

Shima X Clear Neon Pink Space Primitive Man Wild Alien
Clearish neon pink vinyl with gold, silver and more paint. Space Primitive Man is exactly what the name promises, a caveman from space. This one is a Hashimoto Toy Store exclusive, still sealed in the bag with the fruit net. Very cool. New in original packaging.

Bear Model Lion Maru Blue Orochi
Blue vinyl with silver, yellow, gold and more paint. Nice. Orochi is the Emissary of Darkness from Kaiketsu Lion Maru, the 1972 P Productions show where a Sengoku era ninja transforms into a sword swinging lion hero. Deep cut tokusatsu vinyl done old school. New in bag with header.

Elegab Fourth Version Dokuro Taro
Painted up with nice teal, yellow, black and more paint. Not sure of the base color vinyl under there. Fourth version of Elegab’s skull headed kid, and the colors work so well on this sculpt. Fun stuff. New in bag with header.

Customs and Lottery Heat
Miscreation Toys x Guumon Custom Gergle
Not sure of the base color vinyl, but the custom paint app by Guumon is amazing. Tons of colors, beautifully done. This one was painted by Guumon and originally sold at DCon back in 2018, we believe. NOT signed by Mahoney. Loose, no packaging, like new condition.

Seymour Art Friends of Misfortune Death Screen
Black vinyl with amazing paint as only Seymour does. A lottery piece from 2022, numbered 6/15 and signed on the bottom of the foot. Amazing in hand. If Seymour is your thing, two more landed the same week: the Third Ultraflux on clear vinyl, numbered 9/14 ($365), and the Blue Flame Hellhead, numbered 7/12 and dated 2019, which we believe was the first official shop drop ($379). Loose, no packaging, like new condition.

Vintage Ultra Invaders
Marusan Vintage Orange Ultraman Ace Doragory
Orange vinyl with some brownish gold, blue and more paint. Probably an early 70s release, but not entirely sure of that. Doragory is the moth choju from Ultraman Ace, one of Yapool’s attack dogs, sent down alongside Alien Metron Jr. Slight bit of light paint wear from age, vinyl has no issues. Displays great.

Bullmark Vintage Showa Green Alien Icarus
Green vinyl with a bit of paint as shown. Icarus is the bat eared invader from the fourth dimension in Ultraseven episode 10, The Suspicious Neighbor. Slight general wear for the age, nothing bad at all. Great vintage sofubi at a fair price. And if you want your Bullmark fresh instead of vintage, a Glow in the Dark Kendros came in the same week, green, pink, orange and more paint over glow vinyl, new in bag with header ($189).

The Marusan Gacha Wall
Marusan flooded the shop with gacha sized sofubi this week. All new in bag with header, all under $40. Start with the Kaiju Encyclopedia Rodans, three flavors of the same sculpt.
Then the Godzilla side of the wall. Three eras, three gachas.
Still hungry? There is also a golden yellow Tadpole Hedorah ($29) and a mini unpainted red Ebireon ($29), both new in bag. Cheap, fun, and they disappear fast.
Resin Corner
Luke Welch Fleshy Jason Voorhees Takes Manhattan
Flesh color unpainted resin. Jason, a Jason mask base and a boombox. Yes, the boombox fits on the tip of the foot. Friday the 13th Part VIII put Jason on a boat to New York, and Luke Welch turned it into a three piece set. Fun stuff. The rest of the Welch wave is worth a look too: the Flannel Zombie ($39), a blue Total Recall Kuato ($58), and the Demon in the Well in blue or grey ($44 each). All loose, like new.

Joseph Harmon’s Gator Chungaloids rolled in four deep this week. Glitter in the pour, pink, gold, blue, bronze and more paint. The Hippie Chungaloid already sold, these three are still up. All loose, like new.
