Weekly Drop: Marusan Pigmon Grail, Vintage Bullmark Hedorah, a They Live Invasion & Fresh Sofubi (June 2026)

Big week for the old guard. The shelf filled up with vintage Japanese vinyl this time, the real foundational stuff: Marusan, Bullmark, B-Club, Marmit, the houses that started kaiju sofubi in the first place. Then a fresh wave of indie pieces landed on top, including a little They Live alien invasion. Here is what is in hand and in stock.

Hero of the Week

Marusan Clear x Blue x Iridescent Pigmon

Clear vinyl with blue and gold paint, and an iridescent cellophane insert tucked inside that catches the light. Outstanding in hand. Marusan is where kaiju vinyl began, the studio that cast the very first Godzilla sofubi back in 1966, so anything with their stamp carries weight. Pigmon is the friendly little Ultraman kaiju everybody roots for, and this exact piece shows up on collector blogs as far back as 2008. Almost 20 years old and it does not look like it aged a day. A real Marusan grail.

The Vintage Vault

Old Japanese vinyl does not land like this every week. Three studios from the golden era showed up at once.

B-Club green Alien Nackle Return of Ultraman kaiju sofubi

B-Club Green Alien Nackle

Green vinyl with metallic blue, red, silver and more paint. Has the Bullmark stamp with Popy written in black pen on the bottom of the foot, so we are calling it B-Club. Alien Nackle is a heavy hitter from Return of Ultraman, the alien famous for taking down Ultraman Jack, and this is a great old sofubi of him. Loose, no packaging, like new condition.

Marmit Vinyl Paradise golden Kanegon piggy bank sofubi

Marmit Vinyl Paradise Golden Kanegon Piggy Bank

Vinyl painted gold, based on Yuji Kaida’s illustration work. Kanegon is the money eating kaiju from Ultra Q, so a Kanegon piggy bank is the perfect joke. The coin slot is solid vinyl out of the box, but easy to open up if you want it to actually hold money. Classic Marmit production, both the nostalgia and the quality. New in bag with header.

MVH x Kaiju One Green Death Head Sludge Demon DX TriCycle

This one is a whole scene. Green vinyl with blue, black, yellow and more paint, and the Sludge Demon rides a working wind up tricycle, key included. Wind it up and it rolls. A menacing sculpt on a kid toy trike should not work as well as it does. Comes in the original box, like new condition. The DX of the week at $499, and a standout if you collect MVH or Kaiju One.
