Eddie Campbell's Bacchus series represents some of his finest work outside of From Hell, and this eighth issue from 1995 showcases exactly why. Campbell's approach to mythology feels both irreverent and respectful, bringing ancient gods into modern contexts without losing their essential power. His art style—loose but precise, sketchy but controlled—perfectly complements the storytelling. Near mint condition makes this particularly nice since Campbell's work deserves to be preserved properly. Essential reading for Campbell completists.
