Description
Dave McKean's haunting cover work paired with Al Davison and Daniel Vozzo's interior storytelling makes this 1998 Vertigo issue a standout. The Dreaming was always the weirder cousin to Sandman, and issue #20 shows why that was such a good thing. McKean's photocollage and painted cover style was hitting its stride around this time, creating something that feels more like art than comics advertising. Near mint condition preserves all those subtle color gradients that make Vozzo's work so atmospheric.
