Chris Ware edited McSweeney's Issue 13 and assembled a murderer's row: Robert Crumb, Art Spiegelman, Daniel Clowes, Lynda Barry, Los Bros Hernandez, Adrian Tomine, Julie Doucet. Plus essays from Michael Chabon, Ira Glass, John Updike, and Chip Kidd. The hardcover with dustjacket is still sealed in original cellophane — never opened. When the best comics creators of multiple generations collaborate under Ware's direction, you get something like this.
